TeacherZParticipant
Thank you for all your help. I got the program working on the HP i3 Gaming unit you posted on the current hardware topic.
The setup was almost seamless. And it is all working perfectly. Now I just need to pick my preferred settings for water evaporation speed, since I don’t have a “dry” button set up.
TeacherZParticipantThat makes sense. I guess that answers whether the software works on a Mac Mini (and the answer is not out of the box).
I got approval to purchase a desktop. Hoping to get it set up before the end of the week.It is hard to tell if the error is only being printed when I try to add water since I was not looking at both windows simultaneously.
Thank you!
TeacherZParticipantI tried rebuilding the SARndTable application but still no water. I then thought that the problem could be the version of Linux Mint (I was on 20.3). So I installed 19.1 which is linked to in the instructions. I went through all the instructions again and no water. I am suspecting the issue could be the Mac Mini, but I was hoping I might be missing something else. I am going to try with a new computer.
In case anyone knows what these errors mean, this is what I was getting (in Terminal) after the setup, but the program did run without water appearing:
user@linux-pc:~/src/SARndbox-2.8$ ./bin/SARndbox -uhm -fpv
Terminated Sandbox due to exception: USB::Device::open: Insufficient device permissions
user@linux-pc:~/src/SARndbox-2.8$ sudo ./bin/SARndbox -uhm -fpv

…TeacherZParticipantI am realizing that this might be related to an installation problem. When I ran the installers everything installed to the home folder and I had to copy files to the system folder manually. There might be something I missed. Should I run the installers again with a different command or look for a particular file and verify it is in the correct location?
Thank you.
TeacherZParticipantWater was not appearing when we pressed the keyboard keys, either with the presets in the config (1 & 2) or when assigning new keys.
We are using Linux Mint on a Mac Mini, but I would expect the water to be slow rather than not appearing at all.
Thank you.
