Did you have any luck with this?
When I run the SARndbox executable directly, it runs (no color elevation ramps from .cpt file of course),
however when I run the .sh file with the arguments the screen is black.
/opt/SARndbox-3.2/bin/RunSARndbox.sh

Having similar problems with not being able to write after updating still.I get a new permission to write error when running Calibration of Kinect sensor.
I determined two of my sensors are ready for the recycling pile and three are not.
I still get hung up on this error while rebuilding the sandbox under Linux Mint Mate Wilma:
