    Hi there!

I am upgrading an installation here to the latest available version, using marcocspc’s excellent Docker image.

After recalibrating the installation, seemingly everything worked except there is a steady stream of permanent, perpetual global rain. If I bind a key to dry and hold that down, it will inevitably clear it up but after a moment or two – more rain.

Is there a toggle I inadvertently set to cause this, or do we think it could be a calibration issue? It does sort of behave as if there is a very large hand hovering over the installation…

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you using the -evr command line parameter when starting the sandbox? If so, is the rate a negative or positive number?

The description of -evr could be read as “positive rates evaporate water”. But, the sign of the rate should be negative to subtract water from the surface. A small, positive rate could produce the constant global rain effect you describe.

Oh gosh, yes I was running <evr> with positive 0.02!

I will get the installation hooked back up and report back. Thanks Sean!

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it was something that simple! Setting evr to positive does indeed create a global “rain”, and I somehow missed that in my testing.

Thanks again, it’s good to have our sandbox upgraded!

I’m glad to see this was easy to fix. Congrats on the upgrade.
